Join us for "Unsettled order: reforming global economic governance" a book discussion with Carlo Monticelli Vice Governor, Council of the Europe Development Bank and moderator, Takatoshi Ito Professor of International and Public Affairs.
The architecture of global economic and financial governance is undergoing a deep and pervasive transformation with the emerging economies on their way to becoming far more important and influential in both the International Financial Institutions and the more informal groups. So far, all of this happening without an active contribution by Europe but this book contends that Europe should marshal a stronger international position, starting with a more effective representation in International Financial Institutions, which would be beneficial to both Europe and the effectiveness of global governance.
