Join Professor Jessica Whyte of the University of New South Wales as she discusses her new book, The Morals of the Market. Drawing on detailed archival research on the parallel histories of human rights and neoliberalism, Professor Whyte uncovers the place of human rights in neoliberal attempts to develop a moral framework for a market society. The discussion will be moderated Joseph Slaughter, Associate Professor of English and Comparative Literature at Columbia University and member of the Committee on Global Thought. Registration is encouraged but not required. A light lunch will be available
