Please join us for a talk by Dr. Simeon Djankov, former Deputy Prime Minister and Minster of Finance of Bulgaria. Following his public service, Dr. Djankov taught at Harvard University, the New Economic School in Moscow, and the London School of Economics. He previously worked at the World Bank and the International Finance Corporation. He received the World Bank President’s Award in 2005 and 2007 and was honored among Bulgaria’s Most Successful Politicians. His research includes work on economic growth, corruption, democratic institutions, as well as “The Happiness Gap in Eastern Europe.” Sponsored by the MPA in Economic Policy Management, at Columbia SIPA.
