In this workshop, there will be a basic overview of the FMOD software interface, and the ways that it can be used in conjunction with Unreal Engine 4 to add sounds to video games. Prior experience with UE4 is highly recommended, but prior experience with FMOD is not required.
Bringing your laptop with UE4 and FMOD installed is recommended, but not required. They are both free to download and use for non-commercial applications and educational use.
This workshop is part of a three-part mini-series, which also includes an introduction to the UE4 software and video game sound design within the UE4 environment. Attendance at other workshops in this series is recommended, but not required.
This workshop is taught by John Thomas Levee. He is an artist and composer, who is currently pursuing his MFA in Sound Art at Columbia University.
