Please join us for a lecture by Ricardo V. Lago, former official of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development and the World Bank, on the subject of "Marketing and Microeconomics: An Application of Demand Elasticity." Ricardo V. Lago (Economica Consulting) former Deputy Chief Economist of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (1993-2003); Division Chief Macroeconomic Policy at the Inter-American Development Bank (1991-93); Senior Economist at the World Bank (1985-91); and Director of Economic Policy at the Ministry of Finance of Mexico (1980-85). Mr. Lago has worked on transition, economic reform and development with countries of Eastern Europe, FSU, Latin America and Africa. Also, he has been visiting professor at several universities and is a graduate of the Universities of the Basque Country (Spain) and UCLA. He was on the Board of the Association for the Study of the Cuban Economy (ASCE) from 2004 to 2008. Co-sponsored by the MPA in Economic Policy Management.
