As of May 2022, over 100 million people worldwide had been forcibly displaced from their homes, most of whom remain in precarious situations of protracted displacement and 'on the move' for over 5 years. The mental health needs of this population are high, yet there are challenges to delivering mental health and psychosocial support to populations while they are on the move.
Please join us for an interactive panel discussion about the challenges and innovations for supporting the mental health and psychosocial wellbeing of populations on the move. This discussion will highlight the experience of researchers and practitioners working with displaced populations in diverse contexts including Bangladesh, Colombia, Peru, Tanzania, and Zambia.
For those who are able to attend in person, the discussion will be followed by dinner with the panelists at the Columbia Faculty House.
