To support graduate students who are interested in expanding their options on the academic job market toward writing studies positions, we invite you to attend a monthly series of presentations called Names You Should Know in Writing Studies. Each 1-hour presentation gives an accessible overview of a major scholar in the field--someone you could cite in your job materials or mention in an interview.
Our final presentation of the semester, on Dec. 4, will feature a talk by UWP assistant director Glenn Michael Gordon on the work of on Jonathan Alexander.
All presentations take place on the first Wednesday of the month from 11:00 to 12:00 in the GSAS Writing Studio Seminar Room, 321 Lehman Library. No advanced preparation or rsvp is required.
Names You Should Know in Writing Studies is co-sponsored by the Undergraduate Writing Program in the Department of English and Comparative Literature and the GSAS Writing Studio. Please direct any questions to Sue Mendelsohn at
