NVIDIA presents: 5 ways to accelerate your computing with GPUs

September 25, 2024
1:30 PM - 2:30 PM
America/New_York
Department of Computer Science, 500 W. 120th St., New York, New York 10027 Conference Room 453

Wondering what exactly are GPUs and why they are so useful for research computing? or just need to know how and when to switch to GPU computation?

Join us for an interactive session with NVIDIA where they'll outline 5 ways that GPUs can accelerate computationally intensive code. NVIDIA will share some ways that GPU novices can get started, as well as open the discussion on more advanced ways GPUs can be leveraged in your research. This session is a great starting point for those who would like to begin leveraging the benefits of accelerated computing, and offers the opportunity to discuss computing challenges with NVIDIA experts directly. Students from undergrad to PhD, researchers, faculty and staff across Columbia are all welcome!

This is a hybrid event that will be broadcast via Zoom with a limited amount of in-person seats available in Computer Science Room 453 (in Mudd building). Please indicate how you plan to attend in your registration and email CUIT Research Computing Services (RCS) [email protected] if you want to change from in-person to remote or vice-versa.
