The lives of Johann Sebastian Bach and Martin Luther are more intertwined than many realize. New York Polyphony illuminates the connections between the timeless composer and the legendary theologian, who both called the German region of Thuringia home. This special Pop-Up Concert takes place in the beautiful Church of St. Vincent Ferrer on the Upper East Side, providing an apt setting for this glorious music. This concert starts at 7:30 p.m. Admission is on a first-come, first-served basis, and doors open at 7:00 p.m. Co-presented with the Thuringia Bach Festival, Christoph Drescher, Artistic Director. Major support for Pop-Up Concerts is provided by the National Endowment for the Arts and the Dow Jones Foundation.
