Deemed “a trustworthy purveyor of fresh sounds,” Either/Or is a frequent feature on the Miller stage, and they return to shine a spotlight on one of their own – director/pianist/composer Richard Carrick. Experience up close the connection between ensemble and composer with a program of his recent works, including two premieres (one that calls for audience participation), alongside two selections by the prolific composer, multi-instrumentalist, and educator Anthony Braxton. Bring a friend, grab a drink, and join some of today’s most interesting performers onstage at Miller Theatre for Pop-Up Concerts, on select Tuesday evenings. All concerts start at 6 p.m. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. Admission is on a first-come, first-served basis. No tickets required. Come early to guarantee your seats onstage.
