It will address, in particular, issues in the Doha round of negotiations and the ongoing negotiations on fisheries subsidies, in addition to current challenges facing the WTO dispute settlement system and the present impasse on nominating new members to the WTO Appellate Body. Rodd Izadnia is advisor to WTO dispute settlement panels, arbitrators, and the Appellate Body on disputes arising under the WTO agreements, and advisor on negotiations to amend the WTO Dispute Settlement Understanding.
