In this workshop we’ll talk about defining success for your podcast and developing a marketing plan to reach your project’s unique audience. In particular, we’ll discuss how to treat your academic podcast like scholarship and make it discoverable to academic researchers. General best practices for raising your visibility online, like maximizing SEO on your website, will be covered in addition to how to track and use web and podcast analytics. In this workshop we’ll also address the need to preserve your podcast and the components that went into its construction by thinking about where you store your files for future access and where you can archive your finished project for long-term discoverability.
