** Please note that the topic of this Python User Group has changed due to a cancellation. If you've attended our recent scikit-learn workshop, this Python User Group will repeat similar material. ** This hands-on workshop will use a specific practical application of machine learning—predicting corruption in countries around the world—to introduce the usage of a basic ML model. We will learn to implement a couple popular models using the Sklearn package and we will focus primarily on regression tasks. The aim will be to give introductory experience so participants can learn how to implement ML in their research. Participants need not be familiar with machine learning, but some basic experience with Python and Pandas is strongly recommended.
