Can a computer learn its numbers? In this workshop we will build a simple interactive dashboard to explore how parameter choice affects ordinary least squares classification when applied to the MNIST digit dataset. This session will be targeted at researchers at a late beginner or early intermediate level of experience with Python. This workshop will be led by Hannah Aizenman, PhD student in computer science at the Graduate Center and a core contributor to Matplotlib.
