Sarah Blaskey (’17 M.S. Stabile) and Nick Nehamas (’14 M.S. Stabile) of the Miami Herald will describe their roles as co-authors of The Grifter’s Club: Trump Mar-a-Lago, and the Selling of the Presidency (Public Affairs 2020). The book, written with fellow journalists Jay Weaver and Caitlan Ostroff, provides a jaw-dropping view inside the lavish Florida resort known as the “Winter White House” and how the president uses it to conduct state business amid a playground of influence peddlers, charlatans and wealthy power seekers, all while channeling vast sums of taxpayer dollars into the Trump business.
