NOTE: This workshop will be held in-person, in the Music & Arts Library, 701 Dodge.
It will also be offered again on Thu 5/12, 7-8pm (via Zoom)
In this workshop, there will be a basic overview of the Audacity software interface. Audacity is a great introductory tool for digital music production and audio editing, as it is free to download on both Mac and PC, and it has the ability to create fully realized music and audio works. Topics covered will include creating a new project, recording live music performance, importing audio files, editing audio, basic mixing, and exporting your final track. No prior musical or audio editing experience required.
Bringing your laptop with Audacity installed is recommended, but not required.
This workshop is taught by John Thomas Levee. He is an artist and composer, who is currently pursuing his MFA in Sound Art at Columbia University.
