Join us as we reflect on CERGE-EI’s impact over the last thirty years and present a vision for its next chapter of growth and development.

The celebration event will feature keynote addresses from

Professor Francis Fukuyama and Professor Jeffrey Sachs

and a panel discussion on

30 Years On: What Has Gone Right and Wrong Since The Fall of the Berlin Wall?

Featuring Sir Angus DeatonProfessor Branko MilanovićProfessor Deirdre McCloskey, and Professor Paul Krugman, moderated by CERGE-EI co-founder Prof. Jan Švejnar.

Followed by a reception and presentation of CERGE-EI’s 30th Anniversary Honors to Professor Richard E. Quandt (of Princeton University), and CERGE-EI alumna Dr. Michaela Erbenová (of the International Monetary Fund).

We are also delighted to be launching the Stapleton Scholars Award in honour of Ambassador Craig R. Stapleton. The award will enable students to pursue graduate study at CERGE-EI, including international exchanges with elite U.S. academic institutions.
