In the past month, over 480,000 ethnic Rohingya Muslims have fled Myanmar's Rakhine State, following a brutal crackdown by the military junta. The latest iteration of violence against the Rohingya has sparked sharp condemnation from human rights activists, the UN, and the international community. Over the last 30 years, Rohingya have been denied citizenship and deprived of basic rights such as freedom of movement and access to healthcare and education . Our expert panel will discuss the ongoing crisis in Myanmar, analyzing the causes as well as what organizations and activists are doing to respond.
