October is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Columbia University’s Fall 2024 Blood Drive Campaign is dedicated to increasing awareness of this disease and supporting cancer patients and others needing donated blood. Blood donations are crucial in cancer treatment, as patients undergoing surgery and chemotherapy may require red blood cell or platelet transfusions.
